Set-up the On-Ramp for Peer Learning Success

  • When: June 14, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm UTC-4
  • Cost: Free
  • Where: Online

Designed for new Eli Review instructors, this event helps instructors prepare for their first peer learning activity in the app. We’ll cover the basic steps and talk about the teaching routines for a feedback-rich class, including the “describe-evaluate suggest” comment pattern, helpfulness ratings, and debriefing.

About the Event

This hour long video conference has three parts:

  1. Set-up. The first 20 minutes will guide participants in setting up an Eli Review course, enrolling students, and assigning the first write-review-revise cycle of the term.
  2. On-ramp. The second 20 minutes will include a tour of a class’s completed first cycle. Participants will discuss how they can use Eli’s data to set high expectations for peer learning.
  3. Q&A. The last 20 minutes will focus on participants’ specific needs for designing feedback and revision cycles.
